Injured Pedestrian Receives £110,000 Compensation

A care worker was injured when a colleague accidentally reversed into her with a company vehicle. Our expert personal injury lawyers assisted her in making a compensation claim.
Accident at Work
In the course of her work, the claimant was removing some shopping from the boot of a car parked outside a client’s premises. At this point, her colleague turned on the engine of the vehicle and it reversed into the claimant, knocking her down.
As a result of the accident, she suffered head injuries, a back injury and injuries to her leg and groin. Our client required extensive treatment, including surgery to place a skin graft and was unable to return to work in her previous role.
Compensation Claim

She held her employer responsible for the accident, as they were vicariously liable for the actions of her colleague.
