At the time of her accident at work, the claimant was attempting to close the bottom drawer of her desk pedestal.
She suffered a personal injury to her upper arm and shoulder, as the pedestal was defective, and she required physiotherapy treatment and time off from work as a result.

They provided evidence to show that her employer was at fault, as the drawer pedestal was inspected, found to be defective and replaced shortly after the accident. The claimant was awarded £10,200 compensation in respect of her injuries, medical expenses and loss of earnings.
