Our specialist personal injury lawyers recently acted on behalf of a woman injured in a cycling accident, when she was knocked off her bicycle on a roundabout.
The claimant was in the process of cycling around a roundabout when her road accident occurred. A car pulled out onto the roundabout from her left, collided with her bicycle and she was thrown up onto the bonnet, before landing back down on the road.
She sustained a fractured shoulder and bruising and grazing to other parts of her body. In addition to the pain and suffering caused by her personal injury, her ability to work and complete a course she was on were also affected and this resulted in a loss of earnings. There was also some disruption to pre-arranged travel plans and she incurred costs because of this.
Our lawyers are experts in personal injury claims and the injured cyclist appointed us to pursue a compensation claim against the driver of the vehicle.
It was necessary to commence court proceedings, however we were able to negotiate a suitable settlement with the defendant’s insurance company before the case went to trial. We recovered £13,000 in damages in respect of our client’s injuries and financial losses.
If you have suffered a personal injury as the result of a cycling accident, car accident, or any other accident caused by the negligence of someone else, you may be entitled to make an injury claim.
