In a recent case, we made a successful personal injury claim on behalf of a pedestrian, who was knocked down by a car due to the negligent actions of a driver.
Our client was crossing a road at the time of the accident, having checked that her path was clear. When she was halfway across however, a driver made a right turn from another road onto the road that she was on and collided with her.
The claimant suffered a fractured foot and leg injuries as a result of the impact and she also developed depression relating to the accident and her injuries.
Our lawyers have extensive experience in car accident cases involving pedestrians and the injured woman appointed us to pursue a compensation claim on her behalf.
The driver’s insurance company accepted liability and we entered into detailed negotiations to secure a suitable amount of damages for our client. She received £13,000 in respect of the injuries she sustained and her financial losses. This included her loss of earnings, travel and prescription expenses, the costs of care and assistance and an amount to replace personal effects damaged in the accident.
If you have suffered a personal injury as the result of a road accident, or any other accident caused by the negligence of someone else, you may be entitled to make an injury claim.
