Trip at Work Results in Knee Injury

A customer service assistance who suffered a personal injury in an accident at work recovered compensation recently, with help from our specialist personal injury lawyers.

Accident at Work

Our client works in an office and was sitting at her desk. When she stood up and began to walk away from it she tripped suddenly, as another member of staff had left a box in the way without her knowledge.

As a result of this fall at work, our client suffered a knee injury. Some ligaments were torn and she had various medical treatments but eventually had to undergo an operation to repair the damage.

Personal Injury Claim

The claimant felt that her employer was responsible for the accident, as they did not ensure that their employees kept the floor free of obstructions and therefore failed to provide a safe working environment.

She appointed our lawyers to deal with a personal injury claim on her behalf. We were able to pursue the case successfully and we secured £25,000 in damages for our client. This sum was in respect of the pain and suffering caused by her injury and also to reclaim financial losses such as travel and medical expenses.
