A man injured in an accident on a public pavement due to the negligence of a carpet fitter was awarded compensation recently, with help from our specialist personal injury solicitors.
An occupier was having some carpet fitted by a contractor. The fitters allowed some of the carpet to extend out from the garden across the public path, which caused the claimant to trip and he suffered a fall.
He fractured his elbow as a result of the accident and felt that the contractors were responsible as the carpet posed an obvious hazard to passers-by.
The injured gentleman instructed our expert lawyers to assist him in recovering compensation for his personal injury.
Initially the defendant proved difficult to trace, however, following some investigations it was possible to make a claim against the responsible party and the claimant was awarded compensation.
If you have been involved in an accident in a public place, or any other accident caused by the negligence of someone else, you may be entitled to claim damages.
