When a novice rider suffered a fall due to inappropriate instruction in her first lesson, she appointed our expert personal injury lawyers to assist her in claiming compensation.
Although she had never ridden before, the claimant was asked to ride first without her reins, then without reins and stirrups, then eventually with no stirrups and her arms outstretched at a trot.
Because she was completely unsupported she fell off to one side and, as a result of this sporting accident, fractured her shoulder.
After obtaining witness evidence about the circumstances of the accident, and also a report by an equestrian expert, our solicitors were able to establish that the tuition provided by the riding school fell below recognised industry standards.
Our lawyers successfully pursued a personal injury claim on the claimant’s behalf and were able to recover damages in respect of the sports injury she suffered.
If you have been involved in an accident that was caused by the negligence of someone else, for example an accident at work, sporting accident or accident in a public place, our expert lawyers may be able to assist you in making a personal injury compensation claim.
