Passenger in Collision at Roundabout Receives Injury Compensation

8th January 2010

A man who sustained a personal injury when he was a passenger in a road accident received compensation recently, in a claim handled by our specialist personal injury lawyers on his behalf.

Car Accident

Our client was a passenger in a car driven by a friend at the time of his car accident. They stopped at a roundabout to wait for their path to become clear, however a vehicle behind them failed to stop and collided with them.

As a result of the impact, our client suffered neck and back injuries. He was also affected emotionally as, as a usually very active person, he was unable to work, do household tasks or participate in sporting activities for several months. He required physiotherapy, medication and care from family members during his recovery and also incurred a loss of earnings and various expenses.

Personal Injury Claim

The claimant instructed our lawyers to assist him in making a personal injury claim against the driver responsible for the accident.

We put forward evidence of his injuries and losses and liability was admitted by the driver’s insurance company. We obtained an interim payment to assist our client financially whilst the claim was in progress and secured damages in the amount of £15,000 on his behalf.
