In a recent case, our specialist personal injury lawyers recovered compensation for a man who suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle accident.
At the time of his accident, our client was proceeding along a road on his motorcycle, when a car pulled across his path and caused a collision.
Our client sustained multiple injuries, including fractures to his femur, hip and wrist, burns, bruising to various parts of his body, soft tissue damage to his shoulder and back, a degloving injury to his leg and hearing damage. He was left with permanent scarring and, due to the serious nature of the road accident, he also suffered psychological effects.
The claimant required extensive hospital treatment and rehabilitation and was absent from work for several months before making a phased return. He incurred a loss of earnings because of this and also costs for medication, care, travel, mobility aids, physiotherapy equipment and the replacement of clothing damaged in the accident.
Our client felt that the driver of the car was responsible for the accident, as they failed to give way to him when he had right of way. He therefore appointed our lawyers, who have extensive experience in motorcycle accident and serious injury cases, to assist him in making a personal injury claim.
We compiled information about the circumstances of the accident and expert medical reports and entered into negotiations with the defendant’s insurers. Our client received a settlement of £100,000 in damages in respect of his injuries and financial losses.
If you suffer a personal injury in an accident caused by the negligence of someone else, you may be entitled to make an injury claim.
