Low Speed Road Accident Causes Personal Injury

1st November 2007

A recent compensation claim handled by our specialist personal injury lawyers involved injuries sustained by a bus driver in a low speed road accident.

Road Accident

At the time of his accident, the claimant was stationary in his small, single-decker vehicle at a bus station. Suddenly another, larger bus reversed into the rear of his, causing the claimant to be thrown forwards and to the side.

Although the bus accident occurred at low speed, the claimant was left with whiplash injuries to his neck and shoulder, requiring physiotherapy treatment and time off from work.

Personal Injury Compensation Claim

The claimant appointed our expert lawyers to assist him in recovering compensation for his personal injury.

Initially, the defendants accepted liability for the accident, but denied that it caused injury to the claimant. Evidence was put forward however, proving that his injuries were caused by the accident, and he was awarded £1,500 damages.
